The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an attractive bouquet of orange pith, clementine, touches of acacia honey and a mineral undercurrent. This is focused and delineated, showing astute use of oak. There is the weight one expects from a Corton-Charlemagne, allied with a fine bead of acidity and lovely apricot and white peach notes, almost overwhelming on the finish. There is a lot of substance here, and I can see this aging with style. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM GRAND CRU closure)

The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot offers up a generous nose of buttered apples, preserved citrus and a creamy framing of new oak, followed on the palate by a full-bodied, rich and ample wine with considerable textural impact and moderate depth at the core, finishing with light grip and noticeable alcoholic warmth. This should evolve into a ripe, generous Corton-Charlemagne with a few years of bottle age, but it's unlikely to be especially long lived and I wouldn't bet on its balance for the long haul.

Impressive weight and richness here. Plenty of grapefruit, hazelnuts, grilled lemons and grilled white peaches on the nose, all leading to a neatly coiled and concentrated palate. It has a bracingly powerful core of acidity that really punches the finish deep. Give it a year or two of bottle age.
