2009 Pernand Vergelesses Rouge

(I tasted this wine, the Ile des Vergelesses and the Volnay Caillerets in another cellar, where they had not been racked yet; 60% vendange entier; finished its malo in August) Bright red. Somewhat reduced aromas of cherry, licorice and minerals. Dense, thick, spicy and very ripe, with a creamy texture and hints of leather and pepper. Finishes with building, ripe tannins and a chocolatey nuance.
