Tasting notes
Superripe melon and peach are garlanded with heady honeysuckle and lily in a seductive nose. Nectarous, almost syrupy essence of white peach and Persian melon is infused with saliva-liberating mineral salts on a luscious, creamy, expansive, buoyant palate. The impressions of clarity and blemish-free purity here are remarkable, as is the sheer finishing length of liquid floral and fruit essences. This was picked out parallel with the In der Hohl Grosses Gewächs, but the decision was made to label the resulting wine solely for the Einzellage Reiterpfad.

The 2013 Reiterpfad Riesling Auslese has a very clear and noble bouquet of ripe and overripe, predominantly healthy berries and grapefruit aromas underlined by stony flavors. Bottled with 8% alcohol, this light but lush, intense and piquant sweet Riesling finishes with verve and great delicacy.
