Score 89-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2013

(all from vines at least 50 years of age and all located in Flagey): Bright ruby-red. A whiff of cassis reduction on the nose. Reduced in the mouth too, but displays superb density and penetrating dark fruit intensity; becomes silkier and fruitier with aeration. Finishes subtle and long, with very smooth tannins. Hard to assess today with confidence but looks to be very strong for village wine.
