Tasting notes
A big mouthful of cooked peach with a citrus freshness. Sweetness adds to the impression of weight and high acidity lifts the finish beautifully.

The 2015 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese (Golden Capsule) opens with a clear, crazy deep, intense and complex bouquet of tropical flavors but most of all smoky aromas of a rocky mountain massive. On the palate, this is a rich, complex, highly finessed, piquant and refreshing Spätlese with concentrated fruit and a tight, persistent structure. The finish is dangerously attractive, but this Sonnenuhr will always be ticking; it should have spectacular aging potential!
A tastefully subtle fragrance of tropical fruit is supported by delightful aromas of fresh caramel and herbal forest honey. A fascinating composition of ripe mango, sweet and bitter orange and a touch of pine leave an almost electric sensation on the palate. (MS)
