Tasting notes
Pungent mint and sage on an intense nose put me in mind of Sauvignon Blanc or Scheurebe, though these are allied with site-typical, equally assertive scents of apple as well as heliotrope and lily perfume. Creamy and lusciously fruity, this finishes with superb and animating persistence if (surprisingly) not quite the nuanced complexity of the corresponding Wehlener or Kinheimer.

Another very juicy and aromatic kabinett from Markus Molitor. Best between now and 2030.
The 2015 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Kabinett (Golden Capsule) AP 2 displays a very clear, aromatic white and yellow-fleshed stone fruit and ripe lemon aroma on the nose. It is clear, piquant and well-concentrated, with ripe and integrated acidity and a well-structured, salty-mineral and slightly herbal flavored finish. This is a precise and piquant Kabinett that needs another year or two to be ready to drink. (See also the corresponding Zeltlinger Sonnenuhr Kabinett AP #33.)
