Tasting notes
Very spicy and juicy with great fruit and energy, then a super-bright finish. Drink any time between this evening and 2030.

The 2015 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett (White Capsule) is very clear, pure and delicate in its spicy and, in a subtle way, intense and concentrated nose that displays perfectly ripe, yellow-golden colored Riesling flavors along with a flinty/smoky minerality. The Würzgarten combines the purity of crushed stones and the pronounced acidity of the Wehlener Klosterberg with the perfectly ripe and intense fruit charm that characterizes the Domprobst although the flavors are completely different and even finer, rather feminine if you so will. In any case, the Würzgarten Kabinett is very well defined and precise on the nose and on the palate, which is dense and tightly woven--a perfect amalgam of ripe fruit and structuring minerals. The 2015 develops an enormously long and tension-filled finish full of minerals or crushed rocks of red slate.
The (medium-) sweet 2015 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett (Golden Capsule) displays a clear, intense and remarkably fine nose of perfectly ripe and healthy small Riesling berries. This is a lush, piquant and salty Riesling of great finesse and aromatic intensity. The finish is super long and aromatic, with a very fine mineral grip and a fascinating combination of perfectly ripe, lush fruit and a weightless elegance. The 2015 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett (Green Capsule) is based on the same grape quality as the dry Kabinett and opens with a deep, complex and smoky/flinty bouquet of ripe stone fruit aromas, crushed stones and sweet herbal flavors. Silky textured, round and lush, this is a full-bodied, highly elegant, finessed and stunningly complex Würzgarten Kabinett. Perfectly balanced, with a great, beautifully pure and salty finish and immense aging potential. Gorgeous! Apr 2017, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2020-2050
