The 2015 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese (Green Capsule) is super clear, precise and elegant on the nose where ripe stone fruit aromas are displayed and intertwined with crystalline slate aromas and smoky flavors of crushed stones. On the palate, this wine is pure and salty, full of grip, energy and tension but also finesse and elegance. The finish is pure and salty, very long and indicates great complexity. This is another great Spätlese in the MM portfolio and perhaps the finest one among the dry and medium-dry wines

Sunny, site-typical grapefruit and lemon dominate the nose and brightly juicy palate of yet another subtly sweet green-capsule bottling from this collection that reminds me vividly of its 2014 counterpart. Seed piquancy, underlying stoniness, apple skin tartness and mouthwatering salinity supply abundant counterpoint on a refreshingly lingering finish. Jun 2017, www.vinous.com, Drink: 2017-2034

Another medium-dry wine from Markus that shows this category can be both sophisticated and joyful. Effusive apple and herbal freshness, but also deep, and it's only going to get better until maybe 2030. Jun 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
