Tasting notes
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Meursault 1er Cru Goutte d'Or from Arnaud Ente has good volume on the nose: notes of hazelnut and burnt toffee, minerals underneath, one of those aromatics that draw you in. The palate is taut and linear with a keen line of acidity, quite backward and Puligny-like towards the finish with notes of fresh green apple and white pepper. Give this Meursault another 12 to 24 months in bottle and you'll have a seriously fine Meursault. C'est super-bon!
