Score 87/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016

Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru was showing a lot of reduction on the nose making it difficult to see the terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with steely, quite rigid tannin, moderate depth, saline in the mouth with the finish (again) too reduced. Give this some serious decanting if you are popping open a bottle. Tasted September 2016.
