Tasting notes
The 2015 Grand Vin Blanc Sec from Lafaurie-Peyraguey is a blend of 73% Sémillon and 27% Sauvignon Blanc that was cropped at 14 hectoliters per hectare. It has a tightly wound, vibrant bouquet with apple blossom and dewy meadow. The palate is very well balanced with fine linearity, a subtle marine influence with a razor-sharp finish that will gain weight once in bottle. This steely white Bordeaux is well worth seeking out. The 2015 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is pale lemon-gold in color with gorgeous candied citrus peel, orange marmalade and lemon tart notes with hints of musk perfume and honeycomb. The medium to full-bodied palate is rich and opulent with plenty of spicy notes coming through and a very long finish. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com
