The 2015 Reaut is medium to deep garnet-purple and opens with an earthy/meaty nose of charcuterie and damp soil with underlying pencil shavings and garrigue hints. Medium-bodied, soft and refreshing in the mouth, it has an appealingly savory, understated character, delicious for any occasion.
The 2015 Reaut has a fresh blackberry, raspberry and violet-scented bouquet that expands nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a well-judged line of acidity. The tannin feel fine here, a nicely proportioned Château Reaut that lingers long in the mouth. If keenly priced, then this Côtes de Bordeaux will be worth investigating.
