Tasting notes
Deep garnet colored with a hint of purple, the 2012 Righteous Fg Shiraz is opening and revealing a few evolving fruit hints of meat and game over a great core of blackberry preserves and creme de cassis notes with spice box and mocha hints. Full-on full-bodied on the soildly built palate, it has tons of expressive black fruit and spice flavors supported by grainy tannins and finishing commendably multi-layered.

Minty, sweet fruit, spice, dense and chocolatey on the palate. This is trophy-style Shiraz and it does risk becoming overbearing. Warm finish. But the clarity of flavour is impressive. (RH)
Deep purple-black in color, the youthful, still very primary 2012 Righteous Fg Shiraz sports tons of blackcurrants and blackberry notes with cedar still poking through on the nose plus dark chocolate, anise, cloves and nutmeg accents. Big, full, concentrated and muscular in the mouth, the dense fruit is still very tightly would yet it's held together by firm, ripe, fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness. Finishing with excellent length, this is one for the cellar.
