The 2015 Riesling Trocken Tonschiefer is from the Oberhausen Leistenberg, from a weathered carbonic slate soil that is able to take water. The wine opens with a lovely, clear and subtle bouquet of white fruits and weathered slate plates. On the palate, this is a light, salty, very well gripped and tension-filled Riesling with clear, dry fruit and dancing slate grains. This is another beauty of the 2015 vintage, and as a Riesling enthusiast you ask yourself: What else do I need? Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
