Tasting notes
There was just a little hail damage that affected the 2013 Pommard les Vignots this year. It has a light blackcurrant and briary-scented bouquet that needs a little more vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. It feels quite masculine in the mouth, perhaps more austere than the 2012 although the smudge of iodine is welcome.

Pretty rich and dense. Less expressive than many. Still youthful and even a bit surly. Much more concentration than most 2013s! (JR)
About the producer

For many, Domaine Leroy represents the pinnacle of fine Burgundy. Owned and run by the legendary Lalou Bize-Leroy, the domaine in Vosne-Romanée is one strand of the Leroy empire, along with Maison Leroy and Domaine d’Auvenay.
