Tasted blind. Sumptuous apricot brûlée. Really rich but not sickly. Finishes a bit suddenly. Still quite chewy. (JR)

The 2015 Château de Rayne-Vigneau has a waxy, slightly resinous bouquet with finely delineated yellow plum, beeswax, grapefruit and peach scents emerging with time. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a keen line of acidity. Tangy marmalade notes define the finish, with ginger on the aftertaste. Superb. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting.

The 2015 Rayne-Vigneau has a rich and slightly cloying bouquet that needs more delineation to match its peers. The palate is rich on the entry with plenty of botrytis, well judged acidity with notes of quince and crème brûlée toward the finish that feels spicier than the de Fargues. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Smells of icing sugar! Lots of acidity and raciness. Aiming at aperitif style? A bit green and leafy. Chewy; burnt. (JR)
