Packed with fresh plum, black licorice and boysenberry coulis flavors, all inlaid with enticing spice notes. Offers a pure finish, leaning a bit toward stony cut rather than the velvety side. A very solid effort. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com

Most structured and powerful Nenin I have tasted in 30 years. Full body incredible brightness and beauty. Loads of blackberry and mineral character. Extremely long and intense. Creamy texture goes on for minutes. 33% Cabernet Franc and 63% Merlot Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com

Right up there with the best vintages at this château since it was acquired by the Delon family in 1997, this is a structured, intense, but vivacious Pomerol showing fine-grained tannins and the grassy freshness of good Cabernet Franc. The oak will integrate over the next couple of years. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2022-2032

New winemaker for the last two years. Lots of replanting. Nine days of picking spread over three weeks (17 September - 5 October). Used vertical and pneumatic press for different portions. Eric Boissenot advises on how to treat each lot. 8% of press wine in this final blend. 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc. Very dark and precise-looking - quite different from the Fugue. Rich but tense. Lots of heady ripeness but some structure too. I'm sure the press wine is doing a great job. Very luscious. Attention-grabbing without being at all exaggerated. 14.3%.
