The 2015 Moulin Haut-Laroque is terrific. Rich, dense and voluptuous in the glass, it captures all of the intensity of the year while retaining a good bit of freshness. There is lovely purity to the sweet red cherry and plum flavors. Drink this racy, perfumed Fronsac over the next handful of years. Tasted two times.

Composed mainly of Merlot with a smaller portion of Cabernet Franc, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Hervé Laroque has a nose of crushed blackberries and warm cherries with touches of underbrush, cinnamon stick and bay leaves. Medium-bodied, fine, fresh and elegant in the mouth, it has soft, ripe tannins and a long, perfumed finish.
Mild and slightly rustic on the nose. But nicely polished on the palate. Succulent finish. Very long. Bravo! (JR)
The 2015 Moulin Haut-Laroque is bold, powerful and intense. Dark red cherry, plum and tobacco are some of the many notes that are pushed forward. Only the slightly drying tannins on the finish detract from the wine's overall balance.
