Tasting notes
The 2015 Montlabert is laced with the essence of plum, chocolate, spice, new leather and mocha, all of which bring out the darker, more flamboyant side of Merlot. There is a wonderful sense of immediacy that will make the 2015 easy to drink young. This wine is not especially complex, but it does offer terrific juiciness and appeal. Hubert de Boüard consults. Tasted two times.

A powerful and rich young red with blackberry, blueberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Full and chewy. Best ever from here. 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc.
A dark, succulent wine, the 2015 Montlabert exudes richness. Mocha, plum, chocolate, spice and leather are all pushed forward. The Montlabert is not the last word in complexity, but it offers terrific depth and fine balance in a decidedly racy, overt style.
