Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Dark garnet. Sweet and gentle. Not too much extraction. Straightforward rather than eye-catching. A bit alcoholic on the end. (JR)

The 2015 Malescot St. Exupery has a slightly blowsy bouquet with dark berry fruit, cola and light loamy scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a dash of soy and a little chewiness toward the finish. This is just a bit unexciting in the scheme of things. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting.
The 2015 Malescot St. Exupéry has an elegant bouquet showcasing primarily red berry fruit (wild strawberry and raspberry), pencil shavings and light forest floor scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, finely-tuned acidity, a little more black fruit than the nose and a granular texture. It gently builds in the glass and is harmonious, slightly Saint-Julien in style, towards the finish that displays a touch of black pepper. Very fine.
