Tasting notes
The 2015 Croix-Mouton is a very pleasant, quaffable red with good fruit intensity and plenty of richness. This is a solid, tasty wine from Jean-Philippe Janoueix. Tasted two times. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com

The 2015 Croix Mouton, a blend of 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet France, has a tight-fisted bouquet at first, sultry and a little unresponsive. It gently opens with blackberry and briar aromas, perhaps more "linear" than I was anticipating. The palate is medium-bodied with bold tannin, full in the mouth with rather "brash" tannin. I would have preferred more elegance to be conveyed on the finish, but there is plenty of muscle here. Give it a year or two in bottle and it should end up at the top of my banded score. Composed of 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Bordeaux Superieur has a spicy red cherries and mulberries nose with touches of pencil lead, herbs and a waft of garrigue. The medium-bodied mouth is soft with chewy tannins and good density, finishing with an herbal lift. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com
