Looking for unlimited layers of opulently, luscious, elegant, concerted, perfectly ripe fruits, with purity, that linger, your search is over. 2015 Figeac hits all the right notes again, and again. I’m happy to have more bottles so I can enjoy its evolution over the years. 2 -3 hours is going to bring out a lot in the wine. Drink from 2025-2055.

Tasted at the 10 Years on Tasting in February in London, and again at home later in the year. I still remember how electric it was tasting this wine during En Primeur, and it's such a thrill to see it delivering so much pleasure now. This is brambled, fleshy, reserved yet electric, with grip, precision and verve. So good. Harvest September 21 to October 15, 100% new oak for ageing. Romain Jean-Pierre technical director, Frederic Faye managing director.

Love this vintage of Figeac, and it is fully delivering at the ten year point, still teetering on the edge of its mature drinking window. Brambled fleshy black fruits, firm tannins, edge of cocoa, incense, steel and mandarin peel, grip and length. Great quality. Harvest September 21 to October 15, 100% new oak for ageing. Romain Jean-Pierre technical director, Frederic Faye managing director.

Tasted blind. Dark crimson. Intense and brooding. Sharp edges to the tasting experience. Lots of concentration and alcohol. Quite a contrast to wine 5 (Cheval Blanc)! Not very long. Showy. (JR)
