Tasting notes
The 2015 Beaumont feels quite sophisticated on the nose with wild strawberry and subtle pressed flower scents. The palate is medium-bodied with firm grip and fine tannin, plus plenty of classic tobacco-infused fruit on the finish. This is a superb wine from Beaumont. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Properly ripe and exciting fruit even if with sandpaper finish. Impressive finish. (JR)
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot . A very dry year, with total rainfall just 613 mm. Bright crimson. Very pure and fresh. Not concentrated but very beautifully balanced. The perfect gentlemen’s club wine? Tannins very much still in evidence. Food needed! (JR)
