The 2014 Maximin Grünhäuser Bruderberg Riesling is a clear, fresh and attractively greenish, but very elegant Grünhaus Riesling. Very clear, piquant and round on the palate, this is a lovely, juicy Kabinett with a perfectly balanced mix of sweetness, minerality/salinity and acidity. A great Kabinett in style and a Best Buy.

Racy, crystalline structure but a little open and flat compared with the finest bottlings. Easy early drinking in terms of fruit, although it’s pretty astringent still on the finish. Not that much persistence. (JR)

Definite sulphurous aroma at this stage, especially on the nose but also a little on the palate. Herbal citrus. Sweetish but finely balanced. (JH)
