(100% vendange entier ): Medium red. Musky aromas of redcurrant, strawberry, milk chocolate, mocha and earthy spices are lifted by a rose petal topnote. Supple, sweet red fruit and spice flavors show a mid-palate creaminess that the previous samples lack--in spite of the fact that 50% of the production was lost to hail. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins and juicy, lingering notes of red fruits and flowers. Bouley noted that his estate's young vines in a steep, rocky part of this premier cru typically produce a rather delicate style, as with this 2014.

Some richness at first here (more than on the Carelles). But a bit austere and demanding on the finish. Vibrant fruit on the finish though. (JR)
