Tasting notes
Good medium-dark red. Delicate, restrained nose suggests plum, redcurrant, spices and dried flowers. Juicy, spicy and tight; in a distinctly lean style compared to the Beaux Monts, with mint and garrigue qualities currently overshadowing the underlying red fruit flavors. Very tight and uncompromisingly dry, revealing a distinct saline quality on the end. This sophisticated wine, from gravelly, well-drained hillside soil, should age very well. But today it's much harder to taste than the Beaux Monts.

The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots has a gorgeous, graphite-tinged, linear but focused bouquet with orange zest infusing the black cherry and wild strawberry fruit. The palate has a beguiling symmetry to it: very precise with supple tannin, orange sorbet infusing the black cherry and maraschino fruit with a tender, shimmering fresh finish. Wonderful Reignots.
