Gently evolved nose. And correct minerally flavour and lightly chewy texture on the palate. In a burgundy context this is QGV . Persistent. Clearly very well made. (JR)

The 2014 Savigny les Beaune les Grands Liards has a complex, slightly leafy, autumnal but fresh bouquet that becomes quite savory as it opens up. The palate is nicely structured with grainy, slightly angular tannin and savory red berry fruit; there is a keen thread of acidity that leads to a foursquare but nicely focused, very natural if slightly austere finish. Drink this over the next 5-7 years.
