Nicely ripe aromas of yellow peach, fresh apricot, butter and high-pitched brown spices. Concentrated and fleshy but still tightly wound, even a bit hard-edged. Best today on its slowly mounting whiplash of a finish, which perfumes the mouth with spices. This wine should expand and gain in pliancy with three or four years of cellaring.

Very ripe aromas of pineapple and apricot. Dense and supple on entry, then a bit tart and disjointed in the middle, conveying a strong impression of stony acidity. Very dry, even austere; this wil need a while to open. There was more hail damage here--about 15%--than in his vineyards in Chassagne, noted Colin.
