Tasting notes
Score 89/100 · Drink 2017-2023, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016

(tasted from barrel): Bright red-ruby. Blackberry, licorice, bitter chocolate and espresso on the nose. Fine-grained and vibrant, communicating a juicy quality and very good delineation to its flavors of dark cherry, blackberry and violet. This wine always gets a longer élevage due to its firm tannic style, noted Meunier. The crop level was just over 40 hectoliters per hectare and Meunier chaptalized by a full degree, from 12% to 13%.
