Deep ruby-red. Deeply pitched yet rather explosive aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, smoky minerals and chocolate. Large-scaled and plush on the palate, combining an impression of chocolatey ripeness with a distinct medicinal reserve. Finishes with a burst of black cherry and a firm tannic spine that tempers the wine's sweetness and extends the fruit.

(60% new oak): Healthy dark red. Medicinal black cherry and licorice on the nose. Plush, sweet and fine-grained, showing an almost exotic ripeness to its red fruit flavors. Finishes with dusty, fine-grained tannins and lingering sweetness. Doesn't show quite the grip of the Charmes-Chambertin but many consumers will appreciate Clos Vougeot in a somewhat softer style. Remoissenet's vines are in the southwest portion of the clos , about two-thirds of the way up, according to Rovani.

The 2014 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru was in fact the last wine that Remoissenet harvested. It has a tightly wound, quite floral nose, opening gradually with time but never fully letting go. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, minty black and red fruit, as well as sorbet-like freshness with a neat, precise finish that just attenuates slightly.
