(from very old vines): Yellow fruits, flowers and a touch of minerality on the nose. Shapely and energetic, with slightly exotic pear and floral flavors firmed by harmonious acidity. Not a particularly fruity style--in fact, this is a bit neutral today--but it does not lack for dynamism.

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Enceignières is raised in used barrel with 15% new oak. It is quite austere on the nose with light, flinty scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with brisk and breezy green apple and pear. Steely in style, more like a Puligny in style with a reserved finish, I would enjoy this over the next five years.

(just finished its malolactic fermentation): Pale straw. Slightly diffuse aromas of pear, hay and hazelnut, plus a leesy nuance. Supple and slightly sweet, with citrus and stone fruit flavor showing surprising acidity. Finishes with good spine and length.
