Tasting notes
Bright lemon-yellow. Expressive aromas and flavors of yellow fruits and spearmint, plus a whiff of flinty reduction. Fat, sweet and full but weightless, displaying lovely energy and grip for such a silky wine. Finishes with noteworthy finesse. Production here was 34 hectoliters per hectare in 2014.

Pale, bright yellow. Extremely reduced nose hints at coffee and charred oak. Then dense and saline in the mouth; offers a seamless impression and noteworthy volume but the wine's lemony fruit gives lovely lift to the middle palate. This very rich wine saturates the sides of the mouth. Cournut told me he lightly acidified this wine, as well as the Clos du Château and Dents de Chien, "but only prior to fermentation," because they had slightly elevated pHs.
