Tasting Notes
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, J-F Mugnier's 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Fuees has quite a brisk and airy bouquet with lifted red cherries and strawberry notes, although it does not quite deliver the complexity of Ghislaine-Barthod's Les Fuees that was served in the same flight. The palate is quite oaky on the entry that obscures the terroir and renders the finish rather generic. There is a fine wine here, but it might need longer to knit together than some of its vineyard classmates. Tasted September 2017. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
