Score 88-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016

(from the same clones as the Cras; also planted in the early 1990s): Healthy deep red. Musky reduction to the aromas of strawberry and minerals. Densely packed and quite reduced, showing less early sweetness than the Cras. Finishes with a broad dusting of slightly dry tannins. This is normally an austere wine, says Méo, and he makes a point not to overextract.

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Feusselots has a ripe, slightly earthy bouquet, hints of blueberry coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with backward, quite stubborn tannin that will clearly need time in bottle to open up. But there is decent depth here, even if it is quite linear and foursquare.
