Tasting notes
A discreet but not invisible application of wood sets off the ultra-fresh, ripe and airy aromas of pear, rose petal and green fruit along with plenty of Chablis elements along with a whiff of the exotic. There is a bit more volume on the palate compared to the Preuses with ample power and punch that continues onto the detailed, mineral-driven and explosively long finish. Simply put, wow.

The 2014 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir has a clean and fresh bouquet with hints of blackberry leaf complementing the citrus fruit and cold granitic aromas. The palate is well balanced with precise citrus fruit, a keen line of acidity and plenty of mineral tension. There is a sense of animation and energy to this Vaudesir, and I can see it ageing beautifully over a decade or more. This is an outstanding Vaudesir from winemaker Olivier Bailly.
