Tasting notes
Enticing nose of beeswax, flint and sea spray. The palate is vibrant with rich/grainy texture and intense flavours of butterscotch, lemon zest, honeycomb and a finish of crushed stones that unfurl in the glass. Tons of concentration and complexity. Hold for a few years for optimal drinking period. (Nov 2015), F+R

The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Clos de Meix is stoic and stony on the nose, with wet pavement and a touch of flint, but doesn't want to give away too much at the moment. The palate is quite refined on the entry with a pleasant saline touch: green apple, kiwi fruit and a touch of spice, especially towards the finish. Harmonious for sure, even if just missing a little va-va-voom.
