2014 Nuits St Georges Les Poisets

(50% vendange entier ; 30% new oak; from vines in excess of 60 years of age): Healthy dark red with ruby tones. Lovely floral, spicy and herbal high notes to the aromas of black raspberry and crushed stone. Chewy and soil-driven, with red berry flavors enlivened by mineral-driven acidity. This nicely concentrated wine finishes serious, classic and dry but not at all hard.
