2014 Puligny Montrachet Champs Gains

Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gain from Domaine Pernot Belicard felt very disjointed on the nose at first, for me showing too much volatile acidity. The palate is better, with more cohesion and a pleasant salinity, but that volatile acidity unsettles this wine and leaves the finish bitter and short.
