Tasting notes
The 2012 Noble Late Harvest Semillon carries 137 grams per liter residual sugar. It has a very pure and refined bouquet with touches of dried honey, creme caramel and almond that is very delineated. The palate is smooth and sensual on the entry, nicely balanced with requisite acidity, hints of toffee apple and quince developing towards the almost Sauternes-like finish. This is very well crafted.

(100% Semillon; from fruit harvested with a high percentage of botrytis; aged for 13 months in new barriques ): Deep green-tinged gold. Honeyed aromas of apricot, dried herbs, straw and resin. Silky and slightly viscous, showing good definition to its peach, apricot, vanilla and spice flavors. A middle-of-the-road style of dessert wine with lovely sweetness and pliancy; not particularly thick or glyceral but very easy to drink. Finishes suave and long. This is carrying 137 g/l r.s. and just under 11% alcohol.
