Tasting notes
Very pale straw-yellow. Perfumed, high-pitched aromas of grapefruit, lemon, spearmint and crushed aromatic herbs. Denser and sweeter than the Morgeot, but also more elegant and refined in a Puligny way. The citrus fruit flavors are nicely lifted by white flowers in the mouth, but this very ripe wine comes across as lower in acidity than the Morgeot. Finishes rich, very dry and long. This was 12.7% potential alcohol chaptalized to 13.5%. A terrific showing.

The wood treatment is notably more subtle if not invisible and easily allows the brooding nose of mostly dark berries, earth, floral and Asian-tea aromas to be appreciated. There is fine intensity, size, weight and punch to the attractively textured and delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess very fine depth and outstanding length. This is simply terrific and highly recommended. April 2015. www.burghound.com Drink 2021+
