Score 95/100 · Jim Murray, Whisky Bible

Nose: playful and fleeting malt spars with the green toffee apple and delicate spice. Taste: a fabulously intricate delivery: as though all the atoms have not quite made molecules and tiny, buzzing flavour capsules dust the palate... the barley causes maximum salivation while the sugars grow in to delicate acacia honey modules; soft vanillas and more sawdusty oak tones ensure balance. Finish: a little late oil helps further the spice and eek out the sugars. Balance: this is just how Speyside should do complexity. Simply and irresistibly brilliant! 46%.
