Plenty of oak aroma for now but there’s lemon and pear fruit underneath. The oak has given a really noticeable sweetness on the palate, but it is counteracted by very crisp acidity. Big rather than elegant with a slightly aggressive cedar quality on the finish. A bit brash at the moment but likely to improve. (JH)
