Subtle creamy aroma. Good balance between that lees/oatmeal softness and piercing freshness. Pure and crystalline, strict and yet lots of pleasure. (JH)

The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Vergers has a very composed nose that is a level up from the Chenevottes, displaying more tension and mineralité, more sense of purpose. The palate is well balanced with a keen thread of acidity. It feels tightly coiled at the moment but there is admirable concentration on the long, spicy finish. Very fine.
