Bright ruby-red. Brisk red currant and cherry scents and flavors, along with hint of game and garrigue . Shows energetic lift and firm cut, and a jolt of cracked pepper lends spiciness. Supple tannins shape the finish, which lingers with good, smoky tenacity.

The Côtes du Rhône Reserve is a good wine in the vintage and offers lots of pepper, bouquet garni, licorice and mineral characteristics in a medium-bodied, tight, fresh profile. Drink it over the coming 2-3 years.
