The 2014 Chablis Villages sees no wood contact just like the Petit Chablis. It has a controlled and well-defined granitic bouquet, hints of smoke developing in the glass, strict and focused. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity. There is just a hint of fresh lime on the entry segueing into a more saline, lightly spiced finish that leaves the mouth tingling after the wine has departed. Very fine and don't feel obliged to drink this immediately; feel free to give it 12-24 months in bottle.

Pale yellow-green. Aromatic scents of lemon, lime, flowers, mint and minerals. Sweet and rich but with a biting citrussy character that reminded me of a 2010. Some unabsorbed CO2 contributes energy to this pineappley wine. Finishes with lovely breadth and length. A serious villlage wine in the making.
(one of several bottlings, this one done in September of 2015): Aromas of oyster shell, lemon and soft citrus fruits. Juicy, penetrating, classic village Chablis with tightly coiled flavors of citrus peel, minerals and anise. The wine's rocky and saline elements are accentuated by five grams per liter of acidity.
