Limpid ruby. Smoke-accented cherry, black raspberry and dried lavender scents show good clarity and pick up a spicy quality as the wine stretches out. Intense red and blue fruit and violet flavors are complicated by an allspice nuance. Finishes on a youthfully tannic note, delivering very good energy and spicy cut.

Deep ruby. Perfumed, spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, cherry and candied rose. Sappy and appealingly sweet, offering primary red berry and cherry-vanilla flavors sharpened by a suggestion of white pepper. Finishes with silky tannins, lingering spice and floral notes and noteworthy energy and lift.
