Tasting notes
Precise nose of rich honeycomb, baked candy apple and undertones of wild herbs and tarragon. Great tension on the palate with minerals, wild herbs and honey textured salinity on the finish. Long finish.Dec 2015

Bright, pale lemon-yellow. Very sexy aromas and flavors of lemon oil, white flowers, hazelnut and nutty oak: an essence of white Burgundy. Densely packed and precise, offering terrific cut and precision but also noteworthy pliancy of texture. Wonderfully balanced and long. This wine is always the ripest and highest in acidity, notes Boillot, who picked this estate fruit with 13% potential alcohol. The pH here is a very low 3.05 and the acidity is 5 grams per liter.

The beautifully refined nose offers up spiced notes of honeysuckle, apple and white peach. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess the same refined mouth feel telegraphed by the nose before concluding in a clean, dry, long and seriously complex finish. Like the Combettes this is very classy and immaculately well-balance finale. A classic Pucelles. Jun 2016, www.burghound.com, Drink: 2024+
