Pale gold with paler green streaks, high aromatics of honeysuckle, tea, saffron, and preserved citrus. This is an attractive wine and a great example of how well Pessac-Léogan white can age with structure and grace. 40% new oak.

The 2014 Bouscaut Blanc has a light, waxy bouquet with grapefruit and honeysuckle scents, a touch of dried honey developing with time. The palate is well balanced with crisp tannin, fine weight in the mouth with a hint of bitter lemon on the slightly smudged finish. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
