Produced using 100% Merlot, it's easy to see the licorice, black cherry and earthy scents. Medium bodied, soft and approachable, there is a good sense of sweet, ripe, kirsch with freshness from start to finish. Tasted blind. Deep garnet. Some Ribena-cassis sweetness but also a more dry stalky note, then more leafy. A little bit lean and dry on the palate. (JH)

Lots of bark, cigar tobacco, stone, volcanic salt and black cherry. Dry persimmon. Full bodied with a seductive velvety texture. Minerally finish. Stylish. Drink or hold.
