Bright medium ruby. Complex nose melds blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate, mocha and tobacco leaf. Sexy, smooth and concentrated, with a distinctly Old World character to the flavors of currant, mocha and pepper. Nicely delineated, tactile wine--especially for 13.9% alcohol. Finishes with firm, suave tannins and the structure to evolve positively in bottle.

"A wonderful red with complex aromas and flavors of blackberry, mineral, stone and earth. Full body, pure fruit and great beauty. Incredible layers and subtlety. Drink now. A blend of cabernet franc, petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, aged 13 to 24 months in large 100-year-old Gamba casks. Wow."
